Meaning

Sadaqah stands for "benefit", a voluntary donation to those in need. It is an act of generosity and charity. The meaning of Sadaqah extends beyond material support to encompass spiritual values that promote gratitude, compassion and community.

Story

In 2018, the first water well, a private project in Tanzania, Africa, came true. The willingness of the donors was a motivation to implement further aid projects. After years of commitment in collaboration with various organizations, measures costing around 85,000 francs were implemented. In order to create transparency, the Sadaqah Projects association was founded in Basel in 2024.

Purpose
Sadaqah Projects is based on the belief that we all have a responsibility to do good in the world. With a variety of active projects and volunteer work, we use our skills and resources to help people.

The association's mission is to implement aid projects in developing countries, primarily in Africa, through fundraising. These can be your own projects or those of third parties.

Word founder

"We all could have been born in a different geographical part of the world where there is poverty, hunger or suffering. I realized that my existence, with my wealth, skills, compassion and desire to help, is there to Being of use to those in need. Having an opportunity to actively alleviate the suffering of others is a gift because charity has a positive effect on the heart. My efforts and the willingness, joy and trust of the generous donors are the result of this Association. This community gives me hope for humanity in a world where other people far away are exploited and left to die."
